The estimated costs for an internship include:
~$1,100 - $2,300 ~ Airfare
$1245* - Trip Cost
accommodations, food, background check, admin fee, internship fee, etc
*plus $20/day for any day over 10
~$100 - Travel, Medical, & Evacuation Insurance
$50 - Apply for an E-Visa
$65 - Covid Test Prior to Departure in Entebbe, if still required
$150 - Recommended Spending Money Amount
Optional Safari or Rhino Trek
When possible, teams are encouraged to go and see some of God's amazing animals in their natural habitat. A rhino trek is a one-day experience and costs around $80. A one- or two-night safari typically costs between $400-$700, depending on team size and selected accommodations.
Optional Staff Gratuity
Upon your return, gratuities may be sent to ACM's US office. They will be shared equally among ACM's Ugandan staff.
Immunizations:
The Yellow Fever immunization is required for entry into Uganda
The COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for any ACM intern
If more than sufficient funds are raised, immunization expenses may be reimbursed (receipt required).
